How much storage do you need?
HD recording uses roughly 3–6 GB per hour and 4K can use 7–15 GB or more, depending on the stream. A two-hour hockey game in HD therefore needs about 6–12 GB. Use a fast USB 3.0 drive or SSD to avoid stutter.

Storage maths for a season of games
An NHL game in HD is roughly 6–12 GB, so a 1 TB drive holds around 80–160 recordings before you need to clear space. In 4K the same game can take two to three times more.
