Infomir MAG Box Models Explained — Which One Do You Have?

Q: How do I set up any MAG box?

Register the MAC with your provider, add the portal URL in System settings → Servers → Portals, then reboot.

Infomir's MAG line includes the MAG 250, 254, 256, 322, 324, 410, 420, 424, 425 and 524 families. All use the same portal setup: register the MAC address with your provider, add the portal URL and reboot. The main difference is hardware: older models are HD, newer ones like the MAG 524 support 4K.

How MAG boxes differ from Android boxes

MAG boxes have no app store — everything runs through the portal. That is why they are stable and simple, but less flexible. If you want to choose your own app like TiviMate, go with an Android TV box or Formuler. For the overall picture read the MAG box guide.

How to find your MAG model number

Turn the box over and read the sticker: it lists the model (for example MAG 322w1 or MAG 524w3), the MAC address and the serial number. The model name tells you the generation and whether it has built-in Wi-Fi. The MAC address, which begins 00:1A:79 on Infomir devices, is what your provider needs to link the portal to your box.

If you bought a used box, factory reset it from the settings menu before adding your own portal. Older portals from previous owners can remain stored and cause confusing behaviour.

Choosing the right MAG for your TV

1080p TV or bedroom set: an older MAG in good condition is fine
4K TV in the living room: choose a 524-class model
Multiple TVs: consider one box per TV, all registered on the same subscription with enough connections
